Dr. Ili Ko graduated with a mathematics degree and an MBA from St. Edwards’ University, USA. She holds an MSc degree in Software Engineering from NUIG. In 2020, she completed a PhD in computer science at NUIG, focusing on dynamic cyber security mitigation systems utilising machine learning approaches. For about five years, she was employed at Lightnet, an ISP, as a data analyst and a research ML engineer. In 2021, she worked as a senior security researcher in the cyber security team at Masaryk university in the Czech Republic. Currently, she is a Postdoc at UCD working on the PRECINCT project. She has finished a Serious Game concept design. She is developing a data mining framework and a dashboard using machine learning algorithms.
